Volkswagen Taigun vs Kia Seltos : Design
VW Taigun will share a lot of components with its rival Skoda Kushaq such as doors, roofs, and glasshouses. Volkswagen, on the other hand, has gone to considerable efforts to ensure that Taigun has its own character. The Taigun’s single-piece headlamps, two-slat chrome grille, and chrome insert on the lower section of the bumper, all of which are very much in line with the German carmaker’s current design language, demonstrate this. The Taigun’s taillight cluster, which spans the width of the tailgate, and the chrome accent on the rear bumper set it apart from the Kushaq even at the back.
The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, comes with an R16 – 40.62cm (16″) Wheel Cover, a Kia Signature Tiger nose grill, a Diamond knurling pattern – Metal paint, Front skid plates, Rear skid plates, and Black Door Garnish.

The AC vents have a new shape, and the infotainment screen is nicely fitted into the dashboard rather than being a free-standing unit, the overall layout of the Volkswagen Taigun looks exactly the same as Skoda Kushaq.
In comparison, the Seltos has a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a seven-inch TFT display for the semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning, rear AC vents, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging pad, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, UVO suite for connected technology, three driving modes, three traction modes, Bose stereo system with eight speakers, cruise control, heads-up display, height-adjustable steering wheel, and more.
Volkswagen Taigun vs Kia Seltos : Engine
The new Taigun will be available with two turbo-petrol engines from Volkswagen’s TSI family. One will be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI engine with 115hp and 175Nm of torque, while the other will be a bigger 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 150hp and 250Nm of torque. Both engines will come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. They will, however, have differing automatic transmission options.
The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, comes with one diesel engine and two gasoline engines. The displacement of the diesel engine is 1493 cubic centimeters, while the displacement of the petrol engines is 1497 and 1353 cubic centimeters, respectively. Both an automatic and a manual transmission are available.

Volkswagen Taigun has Six airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking camera, electronic stability control, multi-collision brake, anti-slip regulation. An electronic differential lock system, hill-start assist, tire pressure deflation warning, and other safety features are also available.
The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, comes standard with six airbags, front and rear parking sensors electronic stability control. It also has three traction control settings, vehicle stability management, brake assist, and a 360-degree camera with a blind-spot monitor.
