The electric vehicle revolution is accelerating; in the near future, there will be more battery-powered vehicles on the road than gasoline-powered vehicles. Here are a few EVs that are launching in the near future that you should keep an eye out for.
1. Mahindra eKUV 100
The eKUV100 commercial comes with a 15.9kWh battery pack and a 54.4PS/120Nm electric motor. It has a range of 147 kilometers and in 55 minutes it gets fully charged using a fast charger. A standard charger will take approximately six hours to fully charge. It also incorporates connected car technology, including cabin pre-cooling, location tracking, remote diagnostics, and driver pattern monitoring.

2. Hyundai Kona Electric Vehicle
Hyundai equips the Kona Electric with a 39.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor with 136PS and 395Nm of torque. In addition, the Kona Electric has an ARAI-tested range of 452 kilometers and can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.7 seconds. The battery charges to 80% in 57 minutes using the 50kW fast charger.

A full charge of the 7.2kW AC wall-box charger for home installation takes 6 hours and 10 minutes. It also includes a small, portable 2.8kW charger that can be plugged into a standard wall socket to charge the Kona Electric in about 19 hours. It is equipped with a single-speed transmission.

3) Kia EV6
According to the EPA, the entry-level Kia EV6 electric vehicle has a range of up to 232 miles (373 km). A 58 kWh battery and a single motor will power it. The Kia EV6 Long Range has been certified as an EV capable of traveling up to 310 miles (499 kilometers) on a single charge, exceeding earlier estimates of around 300 miles (482 km). A larger 77.4 kWh battery will power it.

4) Mercedes-Benz EQS
The Mercedes-Benz EQS electric vehicle will be available in two variants in India: the 450+ and the 580 4Matic. The former, which comes standard with a 107.8kWh battery pack, is capable of producing 328bhp and 568Nm of torque, while the latter is tuned to produce 516bhp and 855Nm of torque. The model can be charged using a 110kW DC fast charger, with charging from 10% to 80% taking only 35 minutes.

5) Volvo XC40 Recharge
The Volvo XC40 Recharge will be propelled by a 78kWh battery pack, which will power two electric motors with a combined power output of 402bhp and 660Nm of torque. According to the WLTP cycle, the model has a range of 418 kilometers on a full charge. moreover, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 180kmph.
