If the everything goes well then toyota kirloskar motors might even launch it before August, Looks and appearance wise it looks like 75% copy of Maruti Vitara brezza, except Toyota badge, new bumpers and some cosmetic changes, Under Maruti Suzuki and Toyota partnership, several new cars will be launched by both the brands. While Maruti Suzuki will give Baleno, Ciaz, Brezza and Ertiga to Toyota, Corolla will be offered to Maruti Suzuki. In addition to that, Toyota will also offer electric and hybrid technology to Suzuki.

Under Toyota and Maruti Partnership Toyota Glanza was the first cross-badged model and is exactly similar to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. the two auto manufacturers decided to share models for the Indian markets. The first of this new collaboration was the rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Toyota Glanza and now the second is a rebadged Vitara Brezza called the Urban Cruiser.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser will have light interior colour scheme to look relatively more upmarket. Under the hood, engine specifications are almost same,Unlike the Maruti Vitara Brezza manual, the Toyota Vitara Brezza manual will feature a dual-battery mild-hybrid system.
Unlike Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar Motor may not offer its sub-4 metre SUV in basic trims. Also, the latter is likely to offer a better warranty coverage of 3 years/1,00,000kms.

The Urban Cruiser will share the engine specifications with the Maruti Vitara Brezza. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which come equipped with dual-battery SHVS mild-hybrid system. This engine also powers the Ciaz, Ertiga and the XL6. It is capable of producing 103bhp of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 138Nm at 4,400rpm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter.
The SUV will receive new bumper and grille, which will give it a Toyota-like face. The company is also making small changes in the rear of the compact SUV to make things fresh in looks. The headlight and tail lamp design won’t be changed as these are more expensive parts to change. However, these parts could receive mild changes. There will be no sheet-metal changes and even the alloy wheel design will remain the same. The SUV will feature the LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. In terms of design highlights, the SUV will get roof-integrated spoiler, dual-tone alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated blinkers, dual-tone exterior paint scheme and front fog lamps.
