At the time of its launch in the last week of December last year, the XUV 700 was the most anticipated car in its segment. There are a few features that make this SUV stand out from its other competitors.
1. It has the most powerful petrol engine in its class.
The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine in the XUV700 petrol version produces 200hp and 380Nm, making it the most powerful SUV in its class. The car’s power delivery is excellent, and it responds quickly to light throttle adjustments. The engine’s overall performance is also smooth.
We also believe that the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission is preferable to the manual transmission.
2. Bigger Dimensions:
The Mahindra XUV700 is based on the new W601 monocoque platform and will be larger in every way than the current XUV500. The new SUV has dimensions of 4695 mm in length, 1890 mm in width, and 1755 mm in height. As a result, it’s 110 mm longer but 30 mm shorter than the XUV500, although the width remains the same. The wheelbase of the XUV700 is also 50 mm longer, at 2750 mm.
3. XUV 700, Design:
Now, the design of the XUV700 is debatable, although there are other SUVs that look better. The Mahindra automobile, on the other hand, is attractive, thanks to the automaker’s use of a powerful yet modern style. The car would be instantly identifiable, which is a plus.
4. XUV 700, Features :
XUV 700 sports a variety of features that allows it to stand out from its counterparts in the same segment.
To begin with, the vehicle includes modern safety features like ADAS, power front seats, blind-spot monitor, automatic climate control, and a huge sunroof, among others. However, the package lacks amenities such as an automatic tailgate, auto-dimming IRVMs, seat ventilation, and third-row cabin light. Overall, the Mahindra XUV700 is one of the best buys and provides buyers searching for a strong SUV with a convenient cabin.
Even the entry-level MX has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system, LED tail lights, smart door handles, and Android Auto. Higher models come with more features, and the top model also has ADAS.
5. Powertrains :
This is where the XUV700 shines. Customers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol (200 PS and 380 Nm) or a 2.2-liter turbodiesel in two tuning stages (155 PS and 360 Nm; and 185 PS and 450 Nm). Both have a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engines are powerful and easy to drive.
6. Pricing :
The SUV is priced between Rs. 11.99 lakhs and Rs. 19.79 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), which includes models such as the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, and Tata Safari, and, to some extent, the Jeep Compass as its competitors under this range.
