In all, India shipped 54,846 automobiles in the final month of 2021. The results fell by 2,204 units from December 2020, when exports were 57,050 units, a slight decrease of 4%. Let’s have a look at the performance of each model separately.

Baleno came first after seeing a 106 percent increase in sales from December of last year. It was the country’s major automaker and the country’s top exporter in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The company shipped 45,056 units in the last quarter, with the Baleno contributing 10,938 units. In the most recent quarter, the company grew by 627 percent as compared to the same period the previous year. In comparison to Q1 of FY2020-21, the substantial growth is due to lowered government regulations.
2. Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta, which has been in strong demand both domestically and internationally, saw 4,649 units exported. When compared to December of last year, the SUV suffered a 17 percent drop in exports. Hyundai has dropped from first to second place, with 29,881 units exported in the first quarter of FY2021-22. The Hyundai Creta, India’s best-selling SUV, is now the country’s second-most-exported model. Hyundai Creta exported 8,200 units in the first quarter of FY2021-22. In comparison to the same period last year, Cretan exports have surged by 2,370 percent. The shift to the new generation upgrade and the rigorous lockdown norms in the country are to blame for the large increase in exports.

Over 50 markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America, and Australia are served by the EcoSport, which is manufactured in India.
