Renault has finally revealed the all-new Renault KIGER which is made especially for Indian customers looks wise it resembles its sibling Renault KWID but is bigger in size, in this articles let us take you through what all you shall get in Renault Kiger
Competitions: Once after launch, the all-new Renault KIGER shall compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser and its own sibling Nissan Magnite.
Platform: Like Nissan Magnite and triber Renault kiger is based on same CMF-A+ platform which is co-developed by Renault and Nissan
Looks: Looks wise it appears Renault Kwid on steroid, we were expecting little more cosmetic changes in the car, but Renault seems to have taken a limited risk with the design and appearance, still it looks quite futuristic having split LED headlamps to the bold grille with the LED DRLs covering the front face. in terms of wheel size, it gets 16-inch steel and diamond-cut alloy wheels, depending on the variant.
At the rear the Renault KIGER gets C-shaped LED taillights with the signature pattern, The model also offers an impressive high ground clearance at about 205 mm.
Entertainment: The Kiger gets 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and 7.0-inch TFT instrument console, climate control, engine start-stop and steering mounted controls, ambient lighting and a PM2.5 air filter.
The Higher variants of Kiger are also equipped with the Arkamays 3D sound system, wireless charging, rear AC vents with a 12-volt charging slot and drive modes- Eco, Normal and Sport.
Other details: its gets dual-tone cabin with fabric upholstery on the seats and door pads. The boot capacity is 405 litres with over 29 litres of storage spaces in the cabin.
Accessories Pack: Renault also offers exciting five accessory packs on Kiger which means the buyer can get plenty of customization options within the showroom
Engine: Under the hood, it gets a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor that churns out 98 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. the 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol available with 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque in lower variants. a five-speed manual transmission will be standard across variants, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine will also be offered with a CVT automatic gearbox and the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated motor will be offered with an AMT automatic transmission.
Expected Price: Expect Kiger prices to be in the Rs 5.5-9.5 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
