The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is one of the country’s premium crossovers, but despite being on the market for a long time, it has been unable to establish a significant position in the domestic market. The company is currently working on a next-generation model, which will be unveiled on November 25 and is expected to go on sale next year.

According to the leaked pictures, the 2019 Suzuki S-Cross has ditched its crossover posture in favor of a more typical SUV design. The S-Cross now has a higher bonnet line and a more boxy form than previously, making it appear purposeful. An octagonal grille, similar to the one found on the Maruti Suzuki XL6, dominates the front end, with a thick chrome band and big Suzuki badging running the length of it. Large swept-back LED headlights and a chrome skid plate on the air dam are also standout features.

The S-Cross is meaner by the vertical front and wider grille, with new LED headlights accompanying it. When viewed from the side, the S-Cross has a more SUV appearance thanks to its sloped A-pillar and upright stance. The body covering and huge alloy wheels further contribute to the SUV quotient. The design is near completion with new LED tail lamps and tough bumper flair.
Maruti S Cross: Interiors
The Suzuki S-Cross inside has yet to be revealed, but expect big modifications here as well. It might get a larger entertainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as some type of connected car functionality. It will likely include a suite of advanced driver aid technologies in international-spec cars, a sunroof, climate control, auto headlights, and wipers, among other things.
Now, the new S-Cross should be based on an improved version of the Suzuki Global C chassis. and will use the engines that are already available elsewhere in the Suzuki lineup. With 105 horsepower and 138 Nm and a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine should be the base engine option in certain countries.
It might have a 1.4-liter BoosterJet turbo-petrol with roughly 130 horsepower and 235 Nm, along with the same automatic and a six-speed manual transmission. Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology may also make a debut in a more evolved version. Suzuki’s AllGrip all-wheel-drive technology may be available with the turbo-petrol engine.
Launch date and price :
The debut of the new Suzuki S-Cross in India has yet to be confirmed. With the launch of a new mid-sized SUV co-developed with Toyota on the horizon, Maruti Suzuki may have issues putting two cars of comparable size into the market. The new S-Cross will arrive in late 2022 in India, with a price range of Rs 9 to 14 lakh.
