Next-Gen Ford Endeavour (Everest) is currently under testing, it is expected to get a 2.0-Liter twin-turbo engine generating 210PS of output. It is expected to launch by 2022 in India.
Ford is working on the next-generation model of Ford endeavour. Notably, In the countries like Australia, it is sold as Ford Everest. A few days back the highly camouflaged model of Endeavour is spied testing on Australian soil. With the spy images, we are able to get a fair idea of how the SUV will look like in the real world.
Next-Gen Ford Endeavour (Everest) looks
In terms of looks, the next-gen Endeavor model looks massive in size. After a long time, Ford is bringing a lot of cosmetic and feature updates into the model. At the front, it gets a flat bonnet, C shape revised LED split headlamp design and all-new grille. Indeed the new model appears inspired by the Ford ranger pickup truck. Next, the front and rear bumpers are more aggressive and sporty.
Moving towards the side profile unlike current model, the new Endeavour model looks more boxy. Having massive side steps, black alloy wheels and at the rear it again get C shape LED tail lights.
The cabin design is also changed and some additional features are now expected to be offered. For example, a fully digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, ADAS (Advanced driver assistance system) And autonomous braking. Also, the infotainment screen is now bigger in size.
Next-Gen Ford Endeavour (Everest) Engine
India bound Next-Gen Ford Endeavour model is expected to get a 2.0-Liter twin-turbo engine offering 210PS of output. This is in addition to the existing 170PS 2.0-litre diesel unit. Also, there are rumours that the Australia Spec Ford Everest model will get a new 3.0-Liter V6 diesel engine.
The two engine types will be made available with a 10-speed automatic transmission gearbox that already exists in the current Endeavour cars.
In drivetrain, it will continue to offer both 4X2 and 4X4 option. The four-wheeler will also come with SelectShift technology that lets the car’s transmission skip gears for better results. Further, this also helps in always keeping the engine in its powerband.
The next-generation model is expected to launch internationally by the end of this year. However, In India, it is expected to launch only by next year.
Specifically, In India, the SUV enjoys a decent fan base and here it competes with MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, Volkswagen Taigun Allspace and 2021 Skoda Kodiaq.
