Toyota has launched the facelifted Yaris compact sedan in the Philippines where it is sold by the name of Vios, the changes appear limited to the model’s front fascia while the feature list is largely unchanged. Facelift Yaris upgrades include redesigned alloy wheels, tail lamps and a new bumper. Inside the cabin, the Yaris gets a revised upholstery design.
New features include telematic-based connected features. some other features like cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, powered driver’s seat, a multi-info display and a rear sunshade have been retained. Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors as well as electronic stability control.

Toyota Yaris Powertrain: Toyota will continue to offer the sedan with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine that puts out 107PS and 140Nm. Transmission options will remain the same too: a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT gearbox.
Toyota Yaris Features: Its equipment list will likely feature the same LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and tail lamps. Apart from this, it is likely to get the same instrument cluster and steering-mounted controls as the pre-facelift model. The facelifted Yaris should be offered with an updated infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Toyota Yaris Rivals: The facelifted Yaris will rekindle its rivalry with other compact sedans such as theHyudai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, New-Gen Honda City, and Volkswagen Vento
The air dam design takes up the majority of the new front bumper and thanks to a black section between the grille and the dam, it looks like the two elements are one. It also gets new LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights along the bottom edge. The LED fog lamps also have a new housing design that looks like sporty air vents. From the profile and the rear, the sedan’s design remains unchanged including the LED combination tail lamps.
The facelifted Yaris is expected to arrive in India by 2021 but it needs to have an updated infotainment system that should offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to keep up with the competition.
