Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a popular premium hatchback in the Indian market. It was first introduced in 2015, received a facelift in 2019, and is set to receive another facelift in 2022. Maruti Baleno Facelift in pictures :
According to the leaked images, the design will undergo significant changes. As seen in the images, the facelifted model’s front fascia has been significantly revised. The front end has received a few changes, with a new grille and bumper that appear to make the car more appealing than the current model. Its headlamps have got an update, with new LED DRLs in the shape of an L. The side profile of the car is not visible in the images, but it will remain largely unchanged, with the exception of new alloy wheels.
The rear end of the facelifted model has also received some design changes. The tailgate appears to be much narrower, which may pose a problem when loading large-size bags due to the smaller opening. It still has a chrome strip running along the bottom of the rear window. The rear bumper has also received certain design changes to make it look more visually appealing. The main difference is the addition of new LED tail lamps. The rendering makes use of a C-shaped LED tail lamp with a turn indicator and reverses light in the center.
Maruti Baleno facelift : Interior
Maruti Suzuki will also make changes to the interior of the Baleno. We can anticipate newly redesigned upholstery as well as a redesigned dashboard. There will also be a new infotainment system with a new user interface and a larger screen. It will also be Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible. Although we expected a new digital instrument cluster, spy shots of the interior revealed a redesigned analog instrument cluster with a digital multi-information display.
Maruti Suzuki will feature a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine in the 2022 Baleno. It uses a DualJet arrangement, which means that instead of one injector, each cylinder has two. As a result, fueling is more exact, and it also includes an idle start/stop mechanism. The engine has a maximum power output of 90 PS and a maximum torque output of 113 Nm. It’s also equipped with SHVS mild-hybrid technology, which aids torque at low speeds.
