The 2022 Hyundai Creta made its International debut last week at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021. The SUV comes with multiple advanced features including improved safety equipment like ADAS.
The second-gen Hyundai Creta 2022 debuted at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021 (GIIAS 2021), displaying the full extent of the changes made to Hyundai’s popular midsize SUV. The new Hyundai Creta will be available in Indonesia, but there is no word on its availability in other markets.
The second-gen Hyundai Creta has the same design as the India-spec car, however, the appearance, particularly some significant changes in the grille are possible. A new jewel-like radiator grille surrounds LED DRLs and ‘Parametric Hidden Lights’ (influenced by the 2017 Tucson). The primary headlight unit is larger to match the Cretas in India, and a thick silver surrounds the grille.
While the majority of the features are already present in the Creta, which is sold in Indian markets, the ADAS function will be added to the new generation SUV. The feature was first introduced in the Creta facelift, which debuted in Brazil recently and contains a number of driver aid technologies. It has a Blind Sport Monitoring video display on the digital instrument console, Autonomous Braking to avoid crashes without the driver’s intervention, Left Convergence Detection to warn if a vehicle approaching from the opposite lane creates a risk of collision, and more.
The powertrain options for the 2022 Hyundai Creta are likely to be the same as the current model: a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The 1.5-liter engines will almost certainly come with either a manual or an automatic transmission, however, the turbocharged petrol engine will only come with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The new Hyundai Creta in pictures :
Although no official pictures of the new Hyundai Creta are released, a few pictures leaked online shows the new design.
The Instagram photo depicts how the front face of the Creta SUV has changed in its latest iteration. The 2022 Hyundai Creta will get a new grille, similar to the one found on Tucson SUVs in global markets. Hyundai has also revised the rear of the Creta. It now sports sharper-looking taillamps and a re-profiled boot lid, just like the Russian-spec Creta.
The parametric design grille appears to be Hyundai’s new feature for its SUVs in the near future. When turned on, the LED headlights and LED DRLs blend into the grille and produce a boomerang-like effect. The fog lamp housing gets a new design and is to be positioned to a deeper level within the bumper.
According to reports, the new Creta will be available in Indonesia in both five- and seven-seat versions. In the coming months, more information on the new Creta will be out.
