Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the BS6 Maruti S-Cross petrol in India, following crossover is considered as safest car made by Maruti, unlike old S-cross model this time it is coming equipped with 1.5 liter Petrol engine, Last year Maruti suzuki officially announced that once after BS6 Norms implementation in India, it shall only sale Petrol engine cars, going with its previous decision The Scross shall only come with 1.5 Liter petrol engine same engine is offered by Maruti in All New Ciaz and Maruti Vitara breeza,

The crossover was put on a show by the carmaker at the 2020 Auto Expo. This is the first time that the S-Cross will be seen with a petrol engine. Previously, the car was offered only in the diesel avatar. The Indo-Japanese car manufacturer has officially teased the S-Cross petrol on its Nexa website with the banner saying – Coming Soon. So, it is quite evident that the 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol BS6 will be launched in India soon, probably in May 2020. However, the official launch could be pushed to May with the ongoing lockdown situation in the country due to Coronavirus.
From Inside, The New BS6 Maruti S-Cross Petrol shall retain same design language in which Old BS6 Maruti S-cross was coming; however there are some minor upgrades Maruti have brought for customers inside the cabin all new 8 inch infotainment system is expected to come with Android auto and apple car play, soft touch leather material shall be provided on dashboard, in rear there is hand rest and cup holders, upholstery shall be leather wrapped
From outside, Black plastic cladding is offered in rear side and both doors, which makes car, look more aggressive and sporty, front head lamps shall be LED with projector function, similarly rear tail lamps too shall be LED,
The BS6 Maruti S-Cross will be sold through its Nexa premium dealership network chain in country. The crossover is expected to be priced slightly lower than the diesel model, which has been discontinued in the country already. When launched, the crossover will take on the likes of the Nissan Kicks, KIA Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Renault duster

Maruti Suzuki will also introduce its mild hybrid version similar to the XL6, Ciaz and Ertiga. This updated BS6 engine churns out 103bhp and 138Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox with an option to choose the company’s tried and tested 4-speed torque converter. The mild-hybrid system on the S-Cross petrol will come with an integrated starter generator.
