Hyundai Motors India limited finally officially revealed the images and some of the specifications of Hyundai Alcazar. With the images revealed it more looks like an extended version of Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Alcazar 2021 Design
While extending the length Hyundai engineers have also extended the wheelbase of the SUV. As a result, Alcazar is not offering the longest wheelbase in segment resulting in additional legroom for the rear row passenger seats.
Hyundai Alcazar wheelbase is – 2,760mm which is 150mm more than the Creta. As a result, the Alcazar has the longest wheelbase in its segment, it’s more than the Tata Safari (2,741mm), MG Hector Plus (2,750mm) and Mahindra XUV500 (2,700mm).
In terms of design, it moreover looks like the stretched version of Hyundai Creta. having a lot of similarity in looks for example front fenders, doors and bonnet design is the same. Still to differentiate between Alcazar and Creta. The automaker has introduced some minor changes to the SUV. In Alcazar, you notice a new tweaked front grille having a studded pattern.
A new bumper having minor changes, A new rear quarter glass, A new Wraparound tail light is given in the Alcazar. Compare to Creta 17 inch alloy wheels Hyundai has given a new 18-inch alloy wheel to ALCAZAR. It’s similar to TATA Safari Offering 18 inch alloy wheels whereas Tata Harrier continues to offer 17 Inch alloy wheels.
At the rear except for the wraparound taillights. Dual exhaust is given which enhances the sportiness of the SUV. A new faux brushed Aluminium skid plate is also given at the rear.
Hyundai ALCAZAR 2021 Interior and features
Alcazar seats are the main attraction inside the cabin. The Alcazar is offered in 6 seaters (Captain seats in middle row) and 7 seaters (Bench type seat in middle row) option. In both cases, the middle seats are one-touch tumble and sliding type. Therefore it allows easy access to the last row passenger
The sliding function is offered in both second and third-row seats. The 3rd-row seats are completely foldable which helps in increasing the overall boot space. With all 03 rows in place, the Alcazar offers 180-litres of boot space, which is yet again more than the Safari (73-litres), Hector Plus (155-litres) and XUV500 (93-litres).
The interior of the car is offered with dual-tone options. The 6 seater Alcazar gets a unique floor-mounted central armrest with cupholders and extra storage space.
On the equipment front, the Hyundai Alcazar is expected to be offered with a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment that supports Android auto and apple car play. A 360-degree camera, Hyundai Connected technology, A panoramic sunroof, ISOFIX seat mounts, a Sound mood lamp, wireless phone charging are some of the features that the Alcazar may offer.
Hyundai Alcazar 2021 Engine Specifications
The Hyundai Alcazar is offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine. it’s the same engine that is being offered in the Hyundai Tuscon and Hyundai Elantra. Hyundai Claims that the 2.0 Liter petrol engine can easily accelerate from 0-100 Km/H in less than 10 seconds.
The 1.5 litre Diesel Engine is taken from Hyundai Creta but will offer slightly different tuning. Being a larger vehicle the Alcazar is offered with a 2.0-litre engine that now produces a power of 159hp and 192Nm of torque. (Its 7hp more than Elantra and Tuscon).
The Diesel Engine on the other hand is the same 1.5 litres four-cylinder turbocharged unit from Creta. That produces 115hp and 250Nm of torque. Though it is tuned differently. Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Hyundai Alcazar Competition
In the market, the New Hyundai Alcazar will rival with New TATA Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV500. Though the competition is expected to get tougher when the new XUV500 shall launch.
