Maruti is preparing to introduce the Maruti Brezza CNG, the company’s first CNG vehicle. Maruti Suzuki is also putting CNG variants of the Swift and Dzire through their tests. According to a new source, the Indo-Japanese firm is preparing to release a CNG-powered version of the new Brezza by April 2022. This article outlines all of the anticipated upgrades to Maruti Brezza’s all-new CNG variant.
What’s New ?
Maruti is dropping the ‘Vitara’ prefix from the name. This could be due to the fact that the company is considering using this name for its Creta and Seltos competitors. The CNG variant will include a number of new features and design improvements.
The new model will have a lot of design changes, but the overall profile will stay the same. It will be based on the S-Cross and Vitara’s current C platform. There will be a lot of sheet-metal alterations, including new front fenders, grille, bumper, and headlights, as well as a revised clamshell-style hood. Between the new wraparound taillights and a reprofiled rear bumper with a faux skid plate will be Brezza lettering.
What’s New with the Features?:
New features include a sunroof, a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, paddle shifters (for automatic models), and even a sim-based connectivity suite that will add connected features like geo-fencing, real-time tracking, find your car and intrusion detection, automatic climate control, and better plastic quality in the dashboard.
The new Brezza is powered by the same 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, which produces 105hp and 138Nm. The same engine also powers the Ertiga CNG. It has 92 horsepower and 122 Nm of peak torque in the Ertiga CNG.
Maruti Suzuki India had earlier stated that “a CNG variant will be available for every model going forward.”
The forthcoming Brezza is rumored to come with a factory-installed CNG kit, as well as a 1.5-liter engine with significantly lower output. With the Ertiga CNG, Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 26.08km/kg, implying that the Brezza CNG could achieve a similar or even better figure.
The Brezza CNG will have no direct competitors in the market when it debuts, while Tata Motors is slated to release a Nexon CNG.
