German automaker Audi is all set to launch its first fully electric mid-size luxury crossover suv in India named Audi e-tron, first time it was unveiled as a concept car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Audi is claiming that following SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and produces up to 320 kW of power (boosting up to 370 kW) which makes it best electric crossover SUV in India, upon single charge it runs upto 500Kms, having performance upto 320kw.

Audi e-tron Looks
Audi e-tron looks very beautiful with its extremely sporty lines, expansive panels and tapering rear. Other highlights include illuminated rings and virtual side mirrors. It looks powerful as well as elegant. Its interior boasts an innovative, glowing varnish that provides an especially enthralling touch.its rear lights will use digital animation to provice much clearer lighting for vehicles behind. They will also be able to project information onto the road for more safety
Audi e-tron Interior
The e-tron’s interior follows Audi’s latest design language, having Two touchscreens placed at the centre console taking care of all the functions which include the infotainment system, climate control, drive modes and more. The e-tron also comes with features like Audi’s signature virtual cockpit, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control (Individual cooling for the rear passengers too), wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and a Bang and Olufsen sound system.The e-Tron is also the first production vehicle in the world to come with virtual camera rear view mirrors. The SUV basically uses high definition cameras in place of actual wing mirrors, projecting the rear-view image on two display screens mounted on the front doors.
In terms of dimensions, the e-Tron measures 4,901 mm in length, 1,935 mm wide and 1,616 mm high. It offers the spaciousness and comfort of SUV with a wheelbase of 2,928 mm. The total luggage capacity is 660 litres along with 60 more litres under the hood up front
Audi e-tron gets two braking systems – one standard friction based and the other which uses electric motors to slow the car down. Furthermore, Audi will offer short-term subscriptions with the e-tron, The Audi e-tron will be priced from Rs 1.30 crore, ex-showroom India. with the Government of India’s FAME II plan, it may not cost much on road. Some state already have started offering zero registration, road tax and even incentives on electric cars. With yearly insurance premiums and 8-year warranty on the running gears (batteries, motors) it shall be really affordable to own.
E-tron really don’t have any rivals in India, it takes on the likes of the Tesla Model X and the Mercedes EQC in the International markets.
